Terms & Conditions
We at Euphora deeply value your courage in taking the first step toward therapy. Beginning this journey is not always easy, and we want to acknowledge and celebrate your decision to care for your mental health.
Before starting therapy, you will be asked to sign a Consent Form. This allows us to formally begin working with you as your therapy provider. By signing, you acknowledge the guidelines outlined below, which help us create a safe, professional, and ethical therapeutic space. Please note that these policies may be updated periodically without prior notice.
1. Nature of Services
- At Euphora, we provide counselling and therapy services using an integrative and eclectic approach, tailored to your unique needs.
- Different individuals may benefit from different therapeutic methods, and we are open to feedback at all times. If at any point something feels uncomfortable, we encourage you to let us know.
- Our role is to support you in navigating emotional, relational, and personal challenges. Therapy, however, is not a crisis intervention service. We cannot provide immediate support in situations of emergency, risk of self-harm, or harm to others. In such cases, please use your local emergency helpline or hospital services.

- If you do not join the session within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, it will be treated as a no-show.
- In case of cancellation from the therapist’s side, you will be informed promptly and either refunded or rescheduled.
4. Confidentiality
- All sessions are confidential. Notes maintained are for therapeutic purposes only and stored securely.
- Information may only be shared under the following circumstances:
- With your explicit written consent.

- While we take all precautions to ensure digital safety, clients acknowledge the small inherent risks of online technology (data breaches, connectivity issues, etc.).
5. Therapy with Minors
- For clients under 18 years of age, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required.
- As per ethical guidelines, parents/guardians will be provided only with general updates on progress unless there is a risk of serious harm, in which case more detailed information, may be shared in consultation with the minor.
6. Professional Boundaries
- The therapeutic relationship is professional in nature. For this reason:
- Therapists cannot engage in friendships, personal relationships, or exchange of gifts/barter with clients.
- Interactions outside of sessions will be limited to scheduling and administrative communication only.
- Any resources, blogs, or posts available on the Euphora website or social media are for awareness and educational purposes only, not a substitute for therapy or a helpline.
7. Risks & Benefits of Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process that may bring significant benefits, including:
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Improved self-esteem and relationships
- Greater clarity, emotional regulation, and self-awareness
At the same time, therapy may also feel uncomfortable at points:
- Exploring painful emotions or past experiences may bring temporary distress.
- Change may challenge long-held beliefs or relationships.
- Progress can feel slow at times, with ups and downs.
There are no guaranteed outcomes, but with openness and consistency, therapy can foster meaningful growth and transformation.
8. Emergencies & Limitations
- Euphora does not provide emergency or crisis support.
- In case of suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or risk to others, please contact your local emergency helpline immediately.
- While therapists make every effort to support clients, they cannot be held liable for unpredictable crises or actions outside sessions.
9. Legal & Administrative Disclaimers
- Euphora does not provide services for litigation, custody disputes, or legal testimony unless explicitly agreed at the start of therapy.
- If required or ordered by court, therapists may be required to provide records or testimony. Associated costs (time, travel, preparation) will be borne by the client.
- All content on the Euphora website (text, design, blogs, resources) is the intellectual property of Euphora and may not be reproduced without permission.
